We Tamed the Boss (And Fixed the Belt) - Tiny Game Jam Post-Mortem

We shipped the first web build of Chaos Logistics yesterday. This game was built for the GameDev Insiders Tiny Game Jam. The challenge? Ship a tiny game in a tiny timeframe.
Who are we?
We are a father-son dev team. My son Logan handled most of the pixel art, and I handled the code. To move fast for the jam, we used AI to fill the gaps—the angry boss sprite and the voice acting (courtesy of ElevenLabs) were AI-generated.

The Update: What We Fixed
You played the first build. You gave us honest notes. We listened.
The game was fun, but the friction was in the wrong places. Here is what we fixed today based on your feedback.
1. The Boss is Chill(er)
He yelled too much. It was annoying. We tuned his cooldowns. Now he only yells when it matters (like when you drop something expensive).
2. No More Mystery Shipping
Boxes used to vanish randomly. That was bad design. Now, the fullest box blinks red when the floor gets crowded. You know exactly what you're about to lose.
3. New Pieces: Dominoes & Mini-Corners
1x1 blocks felt like work. You needed better tools to fill gaps. We added three new shapes: a 2-block "Domino" and two 3-block corner pieces (Mini-L and Mini-J). Now you can bridge gaps without panic-clicking.
4. Smoother Difficulty
The game went from "too slow" to "impossible" in ten seconds. We flattened the curve. Normal mode feels fair now.
Why we did this
We want tension, not frustration. The fun is in the panic, not the confusion.
Try it now
Play the new build in your browser. Tell us if you can beat "Employee of the Month" mode.
